The riveting teaser of Jackie Shroff and Sharad Kelkar’s upcoming film, Kaali Kheti, is out and promises to be a first-of-its-kind rural horror that introduces a world where Kheti is beyond an activity or a way of life; it places itself as a force that seems to haunt an entire village. The teaser indicates that Kheti has a life of its own, more like an ancient presence that has grappled the place and its people.
At the center of it are Jackie Shroff and Sharad Kelkar, who are both solid and compelling in the teaser. As the screen presence of both actors adds gravitas to the off-beat plotline, the audience is seated to enter a world that’s both gripping and sinister. One user commented, “Jaggu dada omg and your laalten shot absolute underrated gem,” and another commeted, “Bro is killing itt! Excited to watch @sharadkelkar!” A fan wrote, “Can’t wait to witness the magic of Sharad Kelkar sir!” and another wrote, “OMGG I am so excited for this, I literally can’t wait anymore!”
A user continued, “Scaryyyyy yet waiting to watch,” and another chimed in saying, “Ye desi Hollywood ko takkar dega! Pure goosebumps wala teaser hai! 20 Nov ko first day first show pakka!” A fan wrote, “Ahhh! Fire fire..soo he is going to slay harddd againnn! Damnn!! SO excited for this @sharadkelkar,” and honestly, the excitement is only soaring to newer levels.
No actor gives much away about their character, but what raises the stakes is Hindi cinema getting a new lens to view a supernatural territory, folklore and beliefs of rural India.
Written and directed by Haris Imtiyaz Khan and produced by Sana Khan, the film also features Neha Sargam, Virendra Saxena and Shaji Choudhary in pivotal roles. Produced under the banner of BlackCanvas Studio, Kaali Kheti will release in theatres on November 20, 2026.
