Singer Dev Negi lends his high energy vocals to “Thummak Thummak,” the latest track from the upcoming film The Vvaan, alongside co singer Akasa Singh. The song features Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in a fun, energetic and dance driven avatar.
The track is composed and produced by Tanishk Bagchi, with lyrics by Shabbir Ahmed and Tanishk Bagchi. It is released under Zee Music Company as part of the promotional campaign for The Vvaan. The film itself explores elements of folklore, mystery and the supernatural, so “Thummak Thummak” brings a welcome change of pace, a lighter, more celebratory mood that plays right into Dev Negi’s strength as one of the industry’s most loved voices for dance floor and party numbers.
Over the last few years, Dev Negi has given audiences one chartbuster after another, including “Heartthrob,” “Panwadi” and “Zorajabeen,” songs that continue to dominate playlists and dance floors alike. With “Thummak Thummak,” he adds yet another high energy anthem to that growing list, reaffirming his place as the industry’s go to voice for celebratory, feel good music. His vocals bring a youthful, infectious energy to the track that beautifully complements the on screen chemistry between Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, and the response since release has been fantastic.
Speaking about the song, Dev Negi said: “Thummak Thummak is exactly the kind of song I love singing. It’s high on energy, made for the dance floor, and honestly impossible to sit still to. It’s been such an incredible journey giving audiences hits like Heartthrob, Panwadi and Zorajabeen over the years, and it means a lot to see Thummak Thummak getting the same love. Working with Tanishk Bagchi again was so much fun, and watching Sidharth and Tamannaah bring that same energy on screen made
