Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh: Upasana Kamineni Konidela is bringing Ram Raksha to the sacred Ardhagiri Temple in Aragonda, Chittoor, celebrating her family’s deep spiritual roots and a renewed commitment to the region.
Chittoor holds a special place in her heart as the birthplace of her grandfather, Dr Prathap C. Reddy, Founder of Apollo Hospitals. Inspired by his lifelong dedication to healing and nation-building, Upasana has embraced Chittoor as her own, with a special focus on women’s empowerment, education and financial independence.
“Chittoor is not just where my Thatha was born. It is a place I proudly call my own. My grandfather taught us that true nation-building begins by uplifting communities. I want to carry that legacy forward by helping women become healthier, stronger and financially independent.”
The Ardhagiri Temple, associated with the legend of Lord Hanuman and the Sanjeevini mountain, symbolises the connection between faith and healing.
“When we empower a woman, we strengthen a family. When we strengthen families, we build a stronger India,” Upasana added.
Through this commitment, Upasana hopes to make Chittoor a shining example of how faith, healthcare, education and women’s empowerment can come together to transform communities.
